It's dispiriting when:
1. you see weekly planners for 2007 on sale at Michael's. Dude, we're still going strong in 2006. What's the rush??
2. there's a kid nearby. You'll suddenly find yourself asking, "Damn. When did he get so big? What?! He's 9 now? Damn." You can feel and see time going before your eyes as the kid matures.
3. your monthly magazine still hasn't arrived in the mail.
4. your weekly magazine still hasn't arrived in the mail.
5. your inbox is full of non-personal email.
6. people don't smile back at you on the street.
7. you want to spend more than you have.
8. one speaker works and the other doesn't.
9. you've had the same cell phone for over two years.
10. you don't have a paper and a pen to write your thoughts down...and later you forget what it was you were thinking. | posted by gina, 9:58 PM
